Utovlan is a very effective period delay treatment. It is most effective when it is taken consistently, with doses taken three times daily at the same times each day. Utovlan is not effective if it is taken after the period has started.
The course of Utovlan to delay your period is taken over a maximum of 17 consecutive days to effectively delay your period. A course of Utovlan should not be taken more than once in four months. You should start the course of Utovlan three days before the first day of your period.
It is fine to take Utovlan and drink alcohol. There are no adverse interactions reported, meaning it is safe to consume alcohol when taking this medication.
Utovlan 5mg is not an effective contraceptive treatment. Utovlan will delay periods, but does not offer a solution for preventing pregnancy.
