Xylomaris Nasal Spray is a nasal medication (a decongestant) and contains the alpha-sympatheticomimetic drug xylometazoline. Xylometazoline has vasoconstrictive properties and thus reduces swelling of the mucous membrane in the nose. Xylomaris is used to:
- Decongest the nasal mucosa in the case of the common cold, runny nose flare-ups (vasomotor rhinitis) and allergic colds (allergic rhinitis).
- Facilitate drainage of secretions in case of inflammation of the nasal sinuses or inflammation of the mucous membrane of the Eustachian tube (tubular catarrh) associated with a cold.
How to use
- Adults, adolescents and children older than 6 years should spray Xylomaris 1 time into each nostril, as needed, no more than 3 times a day.
- It should not be used for more than 7 days unless your doctor has told you to. After that, you should wait a few days before using this nasal spray again.
