Dulcolax Picosulfate is a laxative used for the symptomatic treatment of constipation. It contains the active ingredient sodium picosulfate monohydrate.

How to use

• Adults and children over 10 years of age: 10 to 20 drops, once a day,
• Children 4 to 10 years of age: approximately 5 to 10 drops, 1 time per day,
• Children under 4 years of age: 0.25 mg per kilogram of body weight, 1 time per day (1 drop contains 0.5 mg sodium picosulfate),

The drops can be swallowed pure or dissolved in a quarter of a glass of water, milk or fruit juice. It is recommended to take the drops in the evening at bedtime so that the intestine is emptied the next morning (action within 6 to 12 hours after ingestion).

Composition

The active substance in Dulcolax Picosulfate is Sodium picosulfate monohydrate 7.5 mg/ml. The other substances in this drug are Sodium benzoate, Sorbitol solution (non crystallizable), Sodium citrate dihydrate, Citric acid monohydrate and Purified water.

Warnings

Do not use Dulcolax Picosulfate if you are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine. Use extra caution with this medicine if you suffer from severe inflammation of the colon, acute or chronic bowel obstruction, acute abdominal disease with severe pain and/or fever, or a condition of severe dehydration. Do not use this medicine to try to lose weight. This product does not reduce calorie absorption from the intestine and may cause serious side effects.
