It’s a generic version of Calpol and is used to treat a variety of conditions from mild to moderate pain in children over the age of 3 months. This strawberry flavour, sugar free, oral suspension contains 120mg of the active ingredient paracetamol per 5ml suspension. Suitable for use in children over 3 months old.

To give your child Galpharm for Children Paracetamol Suspension, simply measure out the correct dose using a spoon or syringe and squeeze it into their mouth. You can also mix it with a drink if your child prefers.
The ingredients in Galpharm for Children Paracetamol Suspension are:
Active ingredient: Paracetamol 120mg per 5ml
Other ingredients: Hydrogenated glucose syrup (containing sorbitol (E420) and maltitol (E965)), sodium methylparaben (E219), and sodium propylparaben (E217)

To give your child Galpharm for Children Paracetamol Suspension to your child:
Shake the bottle well before each use.
Give the medicine directly by mouth or mix it with a drink.
Use a syringe or the spoon supplied to measure the dose accurately.
3-6 Months – 2.5ml
6-24 Months – 5ml
2-4 Years – 7.5ml (5ml+2.5ml)
4-6 Years – 10ml (5ml+5ml)
Do not give more than 4 doses in 24 hours. Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
Do not give your child more than the recommended dose. Overdosing on paracetamol can be dangerous and can lead to serious side effects, such as liver failure. If your child takes too much of this medicine, or you think your child may have overdosed on paracetamol, even if they seem OK, contact your doctor or the nearest A&E department immediately.
