Hextril 0.1% is a mouth rinse containing hexetidine, a local antiseptic effective against bacteria and fungi. It is used to treat mouth and throat infections.
Indication
Hextril 0.1% is indicated for:
- Inflammations in the mouth and gums ( gingivitis, stomatitis, periodontitis and pyorrhoea).
- Painful ulcers and other fungal infections in the mouth.
- Disinfection in surgical procedures in the mouth.
Instructions for use
- For adults and children 12 years and older: rinse 2 to 3 times daily with 15 ml undiluted Hextril.
- For children aged 3 to 12 years: apply only under supervision, with a cotton swab.
- Do not swallow, spit out after use.
- Do not use for more than 10 days without medical advice.
Composition
- Active substance: Hexetidine (1 mg/ml).
- Excipients: Polysorbate 80, ethanol, citric acid, eucalyptus oil, levomenthol, azorubin (E 122), sodium hydroxide, sodium calcium deetate, purified water.
Storage
- Do not store above 30°C.
- Protect from light and keep out of the reach of children.
