Lactéol 170 mg contains Lactobacillus, bacteria normally found in the digestive tract and is used to treat diarrhea in infants, children and adults as an adjunct to rehydration and/or dietary measures.

How to use

The recommended dose is 2 to 4 capsules per day, depending on how severe your disorder is. In infants, the recommended dose is 2 capsules per day. Lactéol is to be taken orally (by mouth). Swallow the capsule with half a glass of water. For infants and children who cannot swallow the capsule, the capsule can be opened and the contents mixed with some water.

Composition

The active substances in Lactéol are Lactobacillus LB*, inactivated (5 billion) and fermented culture medium (neutralized) (80 mg). The other substances are: silica, talc, magnesium stearate, anhydrous lactose, lactose monohydrate, calcium carbonate.

Warnings

Contact your doctor in the following case: if you see no improvement in diarrhea after 2 days of treatment. Contact your doctor immediately in any of the following situations: in case of fever and vomiting, in case of blood in the stool or viscous stool (with mucus), in case of severe thirst or feeling of dry mouth. These signs indicate the onset of dehydration caused by excessive fluid loss.
