Movicol Unidose | 20 sachets

Movicol Unidose (20 sachets) is a beverage in sachet containing macrogol 3350, sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate, potassium chloride. It is a laxative specially designed for the treatment of constipation. It is also effective for severe constipation, also known as fecal impaction. However, the use of this drug in children under 12 years of age is not recommended.

Directions for use

You can take Movicol Unidose at any time, with or without food or drink. It can be drunk directly from the sachet and does not need to be diluted with water. However, it is important to continue to drink plenty of fluids in addition to taking this medicine.

• For constipation: Take 1-3 sachets per day in separate doses, depending on your response to Movicol Unidose.
• For fecal impaction: Take 8 sachets per day within a 6-hour period. If you have a heart problem, do not take more than 2 sachets in one hour.

Composition

The active ingredients in Movicol Unidose are:

• Macrogol 3350 13.125 g
• Sodium chloride 0.3508 g
• Sodium hydrogen carbonate 0,1786 g
• Potassium chloride 0.0502 g

Movicol Unidose also contains sucralose, purified water and strawberry/banana flavoring containing natural aromatic constituents (including extracts of strawberry and banana), aromatic preparations (including celery) and propylene glycol.

Warnings

Do not take Movicol Unidose if you have internal obstruction, perforated bowel, severe inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease or toxic megacolon, or if you are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine.

Possible side effects.

Like other medicines, Movicol Unidose can have side effects. Some possible side effects may include allergic reactions, indigestion, abdominal pain, bloating, flatulence, nausea, vomiting and pain in the anus. If you experience any of these side effects, contact your doctor.

Store Movicol Unidose out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use it after the expiration date. Store it below 30°C and not in the refrigerator or freezer.
