Your dry cough may be down to various conditions:

Dry coughs don't make you expel phlegm (mucus) unlike chesty coughs which cause you to cough up catarrh (mucus). Usually, a dry cough is temporary, however it can last longer. If your dry cough lasts for more than eight weeks, it's known as a chronic cough (in adults). A chronic cough in children lasts four weeks.

Adults and children aged seven and over can use this medicine. If you're sensitive to any of the listed ingredients on the packaging, avoid using it and speak to your GP. If you suffer from any of the below, do not use this medication:

A liver condition

You take central nervous system depressants

You are currently taking Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) or have done over the past 14 days
