Spasmine 60 mg is an antispasmodic drug that acts directly on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal system. Spasmine 60 mg is indicated in the treatment of symptoms of convulsive pain at the level of the colon such as in irritable bowel syndrome.
Directions for use

- Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: the recommended dosage is 1 to 2 hard capsules, 1 – 3 times a day.
- To be taken orally with a little water.
Warnings
Do not use Spasmine 60 mg if you are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine, if you suffer from bowel paralysis, stenosis or any other form of obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract, or if you suffer from abdominal pain of unknown origin.
Spasmin may cause mild drowsiness and dizziness. In such cases, it is not recommended that you drive a vehicle or use certain tools or machinery.
Possible side effects
Like any medicine, Spasmine can have side effects; not everyone gets them. Possible side effects include drowsiness, breathlessness, wheezing, low blood pressure, dizziness, headache, nausea, dry mouth, allergic reactions, jaundice, abnormal liver function test, palpitations and very fast heartbeat.

The active substance in this medicine is alverine citrate. One hard capsule contains 60 mg of alverine citrate. The other substances in this drug are corn starch, magnesium stearate, iron oxide (E172), indigotine (E132), titanium dioxide (E171), gelatin.
