Strepsils Honey & Lemon Lozenges aren't specifically formulated to tackle cough symptoms. Instead, they're designed to relieve sore throat symptoms. That said, they may help calm throat irritation and provide short-term relief from coughing caused by a sore throat. If you're worried about your cough symptoms, speak to one of our pharmacists or your doctor for cough medicine suggestions.
You can take one lozenge every two to three hours daily to relieve sore throat pain. But don't exceed more than 12 of these honey and lemon lozenges in a 24-hour period.
Of course. You can consume water after sucking on a Strepsil lozenge. If you're suffering from a sore throat, one of the best things you can do is to sip plenty of water and other alcohol-free liquids to lessen pain and increase the efficacy of the lozenges.
However, before drinking water, let the lozenge dissolve gradually in your mouth without swallowing or chewing it right away. Then swallow water to further calm your sore throat.
