Voltaren Patch Once Daily is an analgesic drug belonging to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is used topically for the short-term (up to 7 days) symptomatic treatment of pain in acute strains, sprains or contusions of arms and legs in adolescents 16 years and older and adults.

Indication

Voltaren Patch Once Daily is intended for the symptomatic treatment of pain in blunt injuries. The patches containing diclofenac are suitable for people 16 years of age and older.

Instructions for use

• Use one patch on the painful area daily. Maximum one plaster per day, even if there are multiple sore areas.
• For use on intact skin only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
• Do not use the plaster while showering or bathing.

Composition

Each patch contains 140 mg of diclofenac sodium as the active ingredient. Other ingredients are polyacrylate suspension, tributyl citrate, butyl hydroxyanisole (E320), and a protective layer of silicone-coated paper.

Warnings

Do not use the plasters if you are allergic to diclofenac or any of the other substances in this medicine, or if you have an active gastric or duodenal ulcer. The patch should not come in contact with or be applied to the eyes or mucous membranes. Elderly patients should use Voltaren Patch Once Daily with caution because they are more likely to have side effects.

Like any medicine, Voltaren Patch Once Daily can have side effects. Not everyone gets them. Possible side effects are local skin reactions, such as redness of the skin, burning sensation, itching, redness of inflamed skin, rash, sometimes with pimples or hives. Very rare side effects are hypersensitivity reactions or local allergic reactions (contact dermatitis).
